Title Jobs in Divan Poetry

Abstract One of the accusations against Divan literature is that it is detached from real life and nonhuman. However, research has own that these accusations are not actually fair because the fact that poets well made use of real life is extremely visible. One of the outlets that Divan poetry made use of is daily life. Poets also mentioned about jobs which are parts of our cultural heritage and aspects of real life, forgotten or about to be forgotten today or known with different names. In this study, we focus on jobs such as grocer, barber , preacher, doctor, thrown silk, chemist, spice, Scavenger some of which are stil practiced today where as some of which can only be found in old texts.
